How we verify designer handbags
We do not sell you a vibe word. Before a firm conditional offer, we examine the bag in hand (or on recorded intake for ship-in) and write down what we find.
Preliminary photo ranges are not verification and not offers.
What we examine (actions)
Depending on the house and model, our intake typically includes:
- Materials & construction — leather/canvas hand, stitching consistency, edge paint, lining wear
- Hardware — weight, finish wear patterns, zipper action, clasp tolerances
- Shape & proportion — against known model references we keep for comparison
- Date codes / serials / authenticity cards — treated as supporting signals only; cards and serials do not prove authenticity by themselves
- Provenance paperwork — helpful when present; never required; never sufficient alone
- Condition mapping — corners, handles, base, odor, repairs, alterations — captured in a written condition note whether we buy, consign, or decline
What we do not claim at soft-launch
- We do not advertise third-party lab badges we do not use.
- We do not promise “100% authentic” as a marketing adjective.
- We do not treat a dust bag, box, or receipt as proof.
- We decline pieces we cannot bring to our own standard — and we say why in writing when we can.

At soft-launch these houses are consign-only. Verification still happens before listing; the commercial path is consignment at published rates with your approval on every list price — not an outright buyout.
After inspection
- A written condition note
- A firm conditional buyout number or a consign recommendation with arithmetic you can compare
- Named payment method and timing if you accept a buyout
