What usually moves money more than the box
In soft-launch practice, condition and liquidity usually outweigh packaging:
- Model + size + colourway demand
- Structure, hardware, corners, odour
- Verification confidence after in-hand steps
- Then completeness (dust bag, strap, card, box) as a secondary adjuster

Completeness often has more relative weight when:
- The bag is near the edge of our buy box (selective house, borderline condition, or softer colourway)
- Two similar comps differ mainly on full set vs bag-only presentation
- The model commonly ships with a named accessory (Neverfull pouch, Speedy Bandoulière, Keepall strap, Chanel card) and buyers expect it
- You are choosing consign and presentation affects list photography
Completeness often has less relative weight when:
- The bag is a highly liquid core piece in clear condition
- Damage / odour already dominate the grade
- The ticket sits far above soft-launch heart and the conversation is consign/refer anyway

Is the original box required?
No for most buyouts. More useful for consign presentation than for a firm conditional number.
Do you pay more for a “full set”?
Sometimes completeness adjusts — we never publish a fabricated percentage. Condition still dominates.
Does the authenticity card prove the bag is real?
No. Provenance signal only. We authenticate by actions.
Should I buy a replacement dust bag before selling?
Usually not required. Aftermarket packaging can confuse more than help — disclose if you do.
